Product Description This Marble and Granite Sealer and Restorer is an excellent product for protecting, sealing and restoring hard surface floors. It penetrates the porous portion of the floor sealing from within. This protects the floors from stains setting in, and mold and mildew from growing within the floor. It also repels water stains from seeping in by leaving the water on top of the seal. This allows for easy clean-up of calcium deposits left by hard waters. We have a porous limestone shower floor that our new housekeeper used a hard abrasive with a brush to clean (we think she used comet). The reddish brown tile was left looking horrible and white from the abrasion and appeared to have no finish on the top of each tile remaining. Thought we would have to have a professional come in and re-polish (or worse replace) the tiles. Looked at other DIY options which required the used of sanders and other special equipment and many steps. They were also much more expensive and would take days. Saw this product and thought for the price, the worst that could happen would be that it wouldn’t work.Could not have been more surprised or happy! The instructions state to use a mop or wax applicator — I didn’t even have those — I used paper towels and a sponge. After the first coat, all the white disappeared and was completely gone. The tile color and finish came back (it is a low gloss, not high shine finish that came back perfect!). The grout in between also came back to life and had color.I let the first coat dry and then decided to go ahead and put on a second coat as an added protective layer. So glad I did, the whole floor looks brand new now. Hopefully, this will last after multiple uses in our shower. And we will be sure make our housekeeper use only porous stone cleaners. This product was a huge cost and shower tile floor saver!!I have marble tile throughout my house. It is around 15 years old, much of it is was dull and scratched. The best solution would be to get it refinished, but that is ridiculously expensive, as in five figures expensive (I have a lot of marble).I tried this product and it is a night and day difference. Because it is not grinding down the stone, it can’t leave a polished look as if it were new. However, it adds a ton of shine, makes the scratches far less noticeable. Looks amazing. The best way to see the difference is in the reflection from the lights. Before some tiles were so dull that they did not show the bulb reflected in the tile at all. Now you can see the difference. I had to do some areas multiple times to get a really good finish. If your tiles are already pretty new and you want to polish them, this product isn’t for you. It’s more of a restoration product. I tried it on a granite counter which is already shiny and polished, it made it worse, and was difficult to remove. This may or may not be a good product but it didn't do anything for the tiles around our fireplace. Now I have quite a supply of a product that didn't help.I purchased this product to seal my brand new Brazilian marble kitchen counter tops. I applied 3 coats w a clean flannel rag, waiting for it to dry in between applications. After the third coat dried, I buffed it with a dry, clean, flannel rag. After this, I tested by pouring water on the counter and the water beaded up rather than seeping into the stone (which is what it did prior to me applying this sealant). This works as it is supposed to. I think maybe other reviewers do not understand what a sealant is. This product did not change the appearance of my marble, only added a moisture barrier/sealant.This claims to make marble shine. I followed directions and repeated several applications. I do not recommend this. The only time it shines is when it is wet.shineMy large coffee table all in marbleWorks as advertised
