My house was built in 1997 and both of my front and back outside faucets are the NIBCO 90 Frost Proof Sillcocks. I just installed a new hose and when I turned the faucet on, water was spraying everywhere from the cap (which I later found out is a "Vacuum Breaker") on the top of the sillcock assembly. I though it was leaking from inside the assembly, like form the stem. I hit up a couple of hardware stores, all who told me the NIBCO 90 Frost Proof Sillcocks had not been made in years and they said I would have to replace the entire faucet assembly, which meant tearing out a wall. I decided to e-mail NIBCO and they responded "The NIBCO Figure 90 was discontinued in 2007, and no replacement parts are available from NIBCO. There is a vacuum breaker available from Prier #630-7500 that is compatible. These can be found at amazon.com or online from Menards.com sku #685-1402." So I came to the Amazon website and ordered the Prier #630-7500. It just arrived this morning and literally took 30 seconds to change it out. I turned the water on full blast and NO LEAKS! Hard to believe this little part saved me literally hundreds of dollars. I'm buying 3 more as back-ups!
