I am REALLY pleased with the performance of these off brand vacuum seal bags. When I got my Food Saver vacuum sealer last spring, I simply refused to pay the outrageous price of the foodsaver brand vacuum bags! After searching around and reading reviews, I cam across this one on Amazon subscribe and save. Thank you for developing these as an alternative product!I have been using them on everything for almost a whole year now and I can say they are FANTASTIC. I flash froze and sealed gallons and gallons of home grown strawberries (I always used a double seal.....seal once and then seal another time, both ends....though I'm not sure I even recall any of the seams separating). We are finishing up the last of them and they are just as fresh and frost free and perfectly sealed as when I put them in the freezer in June. I've done dried pears. Great job.Other things I've done....- I buy flour in bulk since I make my own artisan sourdough bread. I vacuum seal the flour into smaller portions. works great.- we raised ducks for meat and vacuum sealed the meal. Worked perfectly. (Note that carcasses may puncture bag (ducks have weird bones, and one or two carcasses when it squeezed them, forced a bone thru the bag as the rib cage was breaking down under pressure. I think this is understandable given the circumstances. It would have to be a Kevlar bag not to puncture thru. I just used those first.)- spices, herbs, dried berries- an ink cartridge that still had life in it but accidentally got removed from the machine (taped over the ink spout and vacuum sealed itI will keep going thru this brand of bags and hope they never discontinue them. Good quality. Good value! Works awesome in food saver brand machines! One note, my food saver machine is the kind that has a roll holder and a knife cutter built in. These rolls are too large to close the lid of the roll compartment but the bags fit thru the knife cutter part fine. I just live with an elevated top to the compartment and don't care. I would rather have bags in bulk. Eventually when the roll gets down, the lid will close.
