My boys are using these bottles for last 9 yrs. Definitely we have changed the bottles several times. But its the best. Keeps water cold for more than a day!Ok all you soda lovers, I searched high and low for a replacement for my Thermos Nissan brand soda thermos and this one qualifies. Most of Laken's product descriptions do mention "Extremely durable, easy to carry, drink and clean, tight closure (even for carbonated drinks)" but you really have to be looking for it. I wish it was in the description to make it easier to find. I have had soda in the bottle for over 24 hours and it stays cold and doesn't explode or give you a blast of soda when you open the top.If you use ice as they recommend to keep it colder longer, be prepared for the soda to be less bubbly. I found if I filled the thermos with ice (or ice water) for some time in advance (maybe 20 minutes or longer if you can), then pour the contents out, the soda can stay colder longer also. I believe they recommend this method anyway. I've seen both hot and cold thermos instructions say this.Anyway, the point is, it seems that Laken products can indeed keep soda in them, just make sure you look for the phrase, "tight closure (even for carbonated drinks)".The bottle is great quality at a reasonable price. Hold cold or warm temps well as does any vacuum insulated stainless bottle. The smaller neck is easier to drink out of and it fits the long skinny ice cubes from our residential ice maker, but it may have problems fitting bigger cubes of ice. The wide mouth obviously fits bigger pieces of ice but you have to carefully drink or you could end up wearing some of your drink. The powder coating holds up fine but the smaller ones that the kids use have dented as they get dropped out of the backpacks often. The small mouth top can separate in two pieces of its dropped hard enough on the cap but you can pop it back together. Also it's the only stainless bottle I'm aware of that's not made in China, these are made in Spain.I just have this water bottle for 2 days. I ordered a white one. I am very happy to have this in my daily work time.Pros: Nice designed bottle body The bottle neck is small enough, so you can drink directly Insulated, keep both and warm drinksCons: Good to have another separate cap which can provide a nozzle or something like that, so you can drink with only one hand. Good to have a cushion coat for it.Related to thermo features, I haven't done a test on neither cold or hot drink. I didn't expect this bottle can keep hot drink longer than 6hr. The main purpose to have this is to make myself drink enough water during the office time and can keep warm/cool drinks for a certain time. I don't like to drink cold water in the winter time. So for this bottle, I am not expecting it will perform as good as a special designed outdoor/camp/sports bottle which can keep hot/cool drinks a long time.This is a great water bottle! Got it for our daughter to use at school and soccer practice. What I really liked right off is the outer finish. It's textured and won't easily slip out of the hand and no matter how cold or hot the beverage is the bottle remains room temperature to the touch. My daughter loves that part as well. No more cold hands! We have already ordered another for our son.Update: the other one came and just like the first one it is of good quality and will last for many years. Our son is almost 4 and he can work the cap and tighten it enough to keep it from leaking. The 12oz size is perfect and a good size for him. Bought it to help incourage him to drink more water and it is already working. Looking into other products from this company as they still make high quality items and im gkad to support any company not making items in China!These bottles are great! I just ordered a 2nd one.The first one replaced my plastic water bottle. Re-used plastic does avoid putting a gazillion more plastic bottles into the landfills or waterways, but hey, what about those non-tasty chemicals leaching from the plastic? As I used this little guy (12 oz is just the right size), I discovered there were other plusses, some of which had been missing in regular thermos bottles:*It keeps hot liquids hot a *really* long time--through-out a 12 hour work-day*The bottle doesn't weigh much*It doesn't spill or leak liquid at all*It comes in pretty colors. The 1st was a red one, the 2nd is green, so I can color-code hot and cold*The outside doesn't sweat or feel hot or cold to the touchI love this bottle. Slim enough to handle with small hands and I especially like the small opening. I had a Hydroflask like it that I loved but it was run over by a lawn mower. When I tried to replace it I found that they no longer carry this small opening version. I find it much easier to drink out of than the even slightly larger ones and am willing to live with the fact that it's almost impossible to put ice in it because of the small opening. Glad to have found this. Functions perfectly as advertised, of course. Great product.I did not expect this to be so great, I ordered this just to hold hot water for tea, which it does really well, Ive since tried it with cold water and it did even better, no leaks in backpack, wow great bottle, its much better than my Kleen Kanteen because its insulated and much more compact but it still holds slightly more liquid, My Contigo only beats it because of the sip top. If I knew it was so compact and nicely shaped I would have ordered the larger size. Firstly, I wanted to review the customer service provided by Laken. I originally ordered this bottle because I was moving to Zambia to manage a national park in middle of nowhere and I knew it would be hot. I knew an insulated bottle that could keep my water cold all day was essential. I ordered it and was disappointed that it was a little late coming - and when it did finally arrive it was the wrong size! (500ml instead of 750ml). This was a major problem for me as it was too small and I was leaving the UK in 2 days - so not enough time to have it replaced. So begrudgingly I went through the refund process and sent it back. Refund was processed - no problem.I decided to let Laken know the issue had occurred, not thinking it would be of any consequence, but you know - just to get it off my chest. And then I went off to Africa. A week or so later I had an email from Laken apologising and offering to send me the right one free of charge to Zambia. When I eventually had an address set up - a dodgy PO Box in the closest town (100km away) I emailed back letting them know my address. Again I thought, well, it's definitely not getting here. Even if they actually send it - I'd be amazed of someone on the long and winding route from Europe to Africa doesn't knock it off. Well, yesterday my cynicism was put to rest. A parcel arrived with the correct bottle in it. Now that is customer service.And part 2 of the review - the product... I am thrilled with my new water bottle! - it's rainy season now so most of the day it's steamy and hot. The bottle is currently sitting on my desk, but today it has also been with me traversing the park all morning bouncing around in the heat in my land cruiser and is still holding my cold water from this morning. It seals tight, is good to drink from even with one hand on the steering wheel and bumping through potholed gravel roads, and it looks sharp in all its matte black glory. The baboons definitely agree - I've seen their mischievous little faces glancing longingly at my bottle. I'll need to be on my guard.So yes. In summary - BUY THIS BOTTLE. Even if you're not going to be in a park in Africa any time soon - I bet you'll be thirsty - and what better way to quench your thirst than out of a stylish bottle sold by a company that stands by it's products - and it's service.This is my third Laken Futura, they are simply fantastic. Not only do they work brilliantly (hot or cold) but they are well made and most importantly very small compared to the volume they hold. I have found no comparable product that works as well and is small enough to be handy for every day use and carry. The last plus is unlike most other Thermos bottles of this size it works well for fizzy drinks, the only tiny negative is that (like another reviewer stated) it can spray a little drink when opening if its been shaken around, as there is nothing else that does it better, it still gets a well deserved 5 stars. The 350ml size is perfect for a 330ml can of coke (or beer) and keeps it cold & fizzy in a hot car or at the beach, just great! And it fits in a standard car cup holder!The narrow mouth means it is very comfortable to drink from vs. a wide mouth bottle and while it doesn't make much difference really, if you have no colour preference, the plain stainless model is very slightly nicer to drink from then the painted models (the plain stainless has a highly polished neck rim which feels a touch nicer on the bottom lip while drinking than the coloured versions).I like this, it’s a no-nonsense bit of kit and it’s quite robust. It does keep hot drinks hot, tea made three hours ago is still too hot to sip, even in temperatures around zero. Simple design, works. Pleased to see that it’s not made in China - in fact that’s probably why it’s good.Finalmente una borraccia che non perde! Credetemi, era una guerra che portavo avanti da anni, a casa ho una decina di borracce e tutte in un modo o nell' altro mi hanno delusa : perdite, saporaccio, scarsa praticità. Ho trovato la pace dei sensi!Al momento dell' acquisto ero indecisa se prendere il formato da 500 o quello più grande da 750, alla fine ho optato per quello da 500 perché l' altezza è come quella della classica bottiglietta da mezzo litro ed ho pensato fosse più comoda da portare in borsa . La borraccia assolutamente non perde, non da cattivo odore e trovo comodissimo il tappo ad occhiello che consente di infilarci un moschettone e portarla appesa allo zaino o semplicemente un dito che rende più facile portarla a mano o tirarla fuori dalla borsa .Per quanto riguarda la funzione thermos , sicuramente prova superata sul freddo, l' acqua rimane bella fresca per tutto il giornoe toccandola non si avverte la temperatura del contenuto . Sul caldo non posso pronunciarmi perché non l' ho testata . L' ho presa principalmente per portare l' acqua con me e posso dire che fa egregiamente il suo lavoro.
