This worked fine to glue paper. When I tried to use it as a glaze, it reacted with the ink on my image, causing the colors to bleed and ruining my project. Even with a very thin coat, it leaves pronounced brush stroke ridges, which look kind of cool if that’s the effect you want. My image was from an HP printer. Maybe other inks don’t bleed but there should be a warning label. It is a great product dries clear and hard. Just what I wanted and its not cloudy!!! Woop woopAfter weeks of air drying this product remains tacky..not to the touch but to other pieces that were sealed with the same product. I used this on journal/covers. In some cases, it caused bleed in the print. I solved the bleeding by using a light spray of clear, acrylic sealer. The sealer stopped the color bleed, but with or without it, the journals stick to each other if stacked or shelved together. I used several versions of this product, for paper, satin, gloss w/same results.I like how clear it is as well as being very easy to cleanup.works perfectly as a glue for paper related projects. made some cardboard cutouts with it. put labels/pictures on vigil candles with it. my only advice is not to put too much on the paper as it will get wet and tear easily. sometimes you can tell which spots have been covered with the glue and which have not but its never a big deal.Using this Mod Podge Sealer as glue for affixing items in my scrapbook. I will warn you: do not use it on prized photographs! On thin sheets of magazine paper, it's bumpy underneath, meaning, ruined picture. For thicker items, it may be OK. Only using it as glue. From now on, I'll only apply very minute amounts along the edges. Not sure what this is supposed to do...it's about effective as those glue sticks for toddlers or little kids. It says the same as regular modge podge but more of a sealer. Idk I don't like it.Mod Podge makes so many different formulas now, that it is really exciting. I have purchased the Paper in gloss and matte, original Mod Podge in gloss and matte, Antique mod podge, I love them all. I am going to be buying the Hard-coat next. While it is basically sold for furniture, my friend uses it on her Mixed Media paper projects and it is awesome. Makes a shiny hard-coat that isn't sticking her art journal pages together. I use this on paper projects as a glue and I don't buy expensive mediums for this now. I use this as a sealer and a final coating on my work. Highly recommend all the Mod Podge products especially for those of us on a fixed income who can't afford the more expensive brands on the market. One product does it all.I've been using mod podge for a while to craft and make my artworks which usually consist of paper and recycled objects, whether found or not. It sticks everything together though it does make a mess- to be expected though!Got some paper, applied glue and to my surprise it stuck! Who would of believed it.I bought this specifically to use on paper because that's what the product indicates its for. However this left my items tacky instead of glossy. I don't believe I used too much of the product but I used a sponge brush to apply. I will try again but with a bristle brush and hope it dries better.Yes it sticks & might well be good for decoupage etc but not for what I needed it for. I wanted it to glue photographs to handmade wooden blocks, then seal the photographs against damage. As far as sealing is concerned I found it impossible to avoid small streaks, no matter how fine the brush or roller used, and having given several trial images 2-3 coats & compared them with original prints, there is considerable degradation in image quality: loss of clarity, brightness & mushy tones. Very disappointing but will keep for gluing & use acrylic sealer for the preservation.Second time I've brought mod podge and not sure I'll be buying again, gets used up very quickly and I don't see a huge difference between this and PVA. The defining characteristic of it being a sealer too - I always have to seal with wax or varnish anyway because it stays sticky. Save your money and by PVA.
