Super thick and goes on smooth. I think this size will last a while!! I've used it on two mailbox paintings. So far, no issues!!I’m pleased with this sealer. When you brush it on it looks white but dries clear with a very natural satin finish, not too shiny not too matte. The only thing about it is it’s a bit thick. if you put on more than one coat it dries with a slightly sticky feel. I dried a few pieces by putting them in the refrigerator overnight because the humidity outside seemed to make them dry slowly and it seemed to work well. It says on the instructions to let it dry in between thin coats but the sealer itself is kind of thick and it’s difficult to make a really thin coat. I had more success with one coat as two felt a little tacky. As pictured, I bought three things: Outdoor Mod Podge, this mini painting set, and black acrylic paint. The project that I had in mind: painting concrete paver bricks black (the paint + the mini painting set), decoupaging paper onto them in varying designs (the mod podge), and using them as stepping stones in our garden. This mod podge is easy to use; it spreads evenly and isn't too thick. This isn't the first time I've used the 'outdoor' version for an outdoor project; I knew it would dry to a 'shiny' or 'glossy' finish and I was okay with that. It does take a bit longer to dry than the 'normal' indoor/matte version, though. The product in the website says water resistant but the product label says can only be used outdoor sheltered environment and not water proof. Too late to return as I already opened and used it.I like to thin it a bit with water - works great for my art projects.I used it to seal paint used on a plastic pot that was used outside. The paint still looks great and has no damage done to it. Would recommend for any art that you want to keep protected.Love mod podge. You can transform almost anything!I thought it wouldn't require additional sealer and that is reason for buying it. Put it on wood winter outdoor decoration. Will see how it does in Iowa winter. This is definately not "mod podge" brand ... not only does the shoddy printed label give it away but the soiled inside lid does too ... opened it up to get a nasty stench of what i can only describe as bleach... mod podge prides itself on its eco friendly ingredients an bleach isnt one of them .... will return for a refund waste of time purchasing itDidn't work, ruined my pebblesI picked some pebbles up from the beginning of October, got them home, painted them used this to top coat them as so many reviews said it worked & was amazing, I let it dry for 2 weeks (to be on the safe side everything was dry as it went on thick), they were now clear so I put them outside & within 3 days they went back white as if it was wet but it's not, it's still dry. I'm so confused as to what has happened. I purposely got the outdoor one & it's not done what it's meant to.So not sure how this can be called outdoor. The plan was to waterproof a hedgehog house but this outdoor??? Product is not waterproof. This is the UK - IT RAINS - A LOT!I do rock painting and I normally use matte Mod Podge to seal them but saw this and thought it would be better. Wrong decision....it’s awful stuff, too thick and gloopy and dries sticky/tacky.Product was broken and spilt and hardened on the outside of the bottle and cap. Have not used but not sure if the product will work as good if it has already been exposed to air
