******3 week update: Unit will not charge, troubleshooted it with different chargers, outlets and all combinations of filter being installed and bone dry. Charge port was not wet either. I will try a different brand I guess..Original review.Got this yesterday. I unpacked it and charged it until the LED on the power button turned green. Unplugged it (as I don’t know if the charger will overcharge the battery or not) and let it sit. Fast forward to this morning, I assemble it and model it off to my family. It comes with its own pole which works for most, but my pool is a 14x28 in ground. I will survive. After getting laughed out of the room I try it in the pool. Results were iffy at first, but trial and error let me figure it out. The brush portion function well for your fiber silt and dirt. There is a little check valve that opens when the brush attachment is on, more about that later. Take the brush portion off, and you can suck up the little acorns and large leaves with ease. After doing my whole pool, I wanted to see how to clean that filter, which I messed up the first time. That check valve doesn’t exactly hold in all the debris. To combat this, when removed the vacuum, hold it under the water nearly parallel to the surface, then turn off the motor. This minimizes/stops and debris falling back in the pool. The only (albeit tiny) issue I see is I cannot vacuum the top step or my spa overflow as the motor intake would be out of the water (which could damage the motor supposedly). I will brush those areas and make it work. It gets five stars as it is simple, inexpensive and won’t need a $100 hose every season like my Polaris. And I got it for less than $100 with the coupon offered. I would be thrilled if it lasted more than a season. I will update if needed..
