This vacuum was easy to assemble, and I like how easy it is to clean out the compartment all the dirt goes into. Also, it is super easy to rake the rollers out and clean them. Which is great especially if you have daughters with long hair that sheds everywhere. I just pop outvtgr brush and clean it every time I use it. The only think I don't likje about it, is that the battery is always on 2 bars, even after fully charging it. It's been like this since I recieved it a few weeks back. Not sure if I got a defective battery, or an older battery, but other than that I really like it.This is a gem.It is quieter and lighter than most, and its well put together with tight fitting parts. Simple unit yet a joy to use. Only drawback is battery life. I say you can get about 20 minutes on hard floors with some area rugs (low pile) using the soft roller. I was surprised how well it did over area rugs using the soft brush. Cleaned better than my Shark and did not sucked the area carpet into the soft brush roller. Next surprised was how it performed over cords laying on my hard floors. Amazingly it ate none of the cords and picked the dust on the hard surfaces beneath after a couple passes. Never been able to deal with cords on the floor that easy. It’s always a game of picking to cords and hoping a cord does not get stuck in the brush roller. Overall, this baby will save me a bundle of time, it’s just a much more efficient way of cleaning my floors.We use a heavy-duty vac once a week to thoroughly clean our floors and carpets but because we have two cats, every day we need to do 'touch-ups' here and there. The Jashen D18 works perfectly for this.All the carpets in our home are low-pile and the D18 handles everything from scattered kitty litter to tuffs of fur.The unit comes with pretty much everything we need. The battery lasts plenty long enough - usually 3-4 days without recharging if we use it for 10 minutes at a time. As I said, we do not vacuum the whole house at once with the D18. Some people have mentioned that the suction isn't terrific. We find that not to be the case. The machine is more than up to cleaning our low-pile carpets and hardwood and tile floors.The unit comes with two rollers - one soft and smooth and one with bristles. So far, we use the bristle roller for all our flooring and it works great. But if you want to switch them, it's a quick and simple process.We especially like how easy it is to clean our carpeted stairway either using all the extension tubes or by shortening the unit by removing the tubes and just using the head. This makes the vacuum lighter and easier to use. The crevice tool comes in handy where the carpet meets the wall... and it's absolutely perfect for cleaning the inside of our cars and our boat.So, if you're looking for a lightweight second vacuum to compliment your heavy-duty one, the D18 should do the job nicely... and for a nice price.I like the suction power and that it lasts long enough to do my hard floors. It works on carpet, but a corded upright vacuum has more suction power, so I would use that for deep cleaning. I replaced my handheld portable vacuum with this one, because I wanted to be able to stand up using it. I love that about it. I did install the holder on my laundry room wall, and it works well. I wish it would stand up on its own, but the price was right, so I'm not really complaining. I think it's a very good value. I got the Jashen D18, which I think is the least expensive one, because I really only needed it for my hard floors. But I can use it on carpet for spot vacuuming.I took a gamble based on price and pretty much got what I paid for. Ultimately, it's a cordless vacuum cleaner with a couple of attachments and two different rotating heads for different floor types. It comes with a bracket to hang the appliance and store the two attachments. The battery can be charged in-situ or when removed from the appliance. I'll cut to the positives and negativesPOSITIVE - Price (cheaper than the big names) fairly light and manageable, decent power and suction (turbo boost).NEGATIVE - Battery life is about 15 mins. The 'quick release' buttons to change attachments are poor. They don't EASILY disengage the sections and I end up wrestling them apart. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WITH POOR DEXTERITY OR STRENGTH. Extra costs - attachments are limited and you will need to buy a long extension attachment (available from manufacturer) if you need to reach ceiling height (coving, curtains etc). Dust collector doesn't really hold much so keep an eye on it and empty it often.All in all, it does the job but I'm certain there is much better out there. Spend an extra £100 if you can and you can better quality and features. NB. A point worth noting is if you have the storage saving shrink bags and have thrown away your old VAX hoover, this little cordless vacuum will still suck out the air. Just use it without ANY attachments and put the nozzle over the vent in the bag.If you want a cheap cordless vacuum, buy this because it's cheap and be prepared for the frustrations that go with it. Happy hoovering!I purchased a second battery as I was worried that my battery would run out before I finished my cleaning, I need not have worried, as they have a good run-time. That said, I have used the extra battery once or twice, so having one is handy and I would highly recommend that you have a spare, for those occasions when needed.Would be perfect with a spare battery Its easy to use light weight but the battery runs out too quick and it takes between 4 - 5 hours to rechargeI want to send the item back, as now it does not vaccum anymore and a burning smell appear.Please send me the return label so I can send it back.
