Barry's Cooktop Rescue is a penetrating, breathable sealer that protects glass, porcelain and stainless cooktops. It’s heat resistant formulation tolerates high cooking temperatures and reduces adherence of spillovers making cleanup easy and safe. Application 1) Clean loose surface debris prior to applying. 2) Remove cap liner prior to use. 3) Apply liberal amount to soft towel and wipe over entire area to be cleaned and protected. 4) Rub in and let stand for 3-4 minutes (on stainless steel follow grain direction). 5) Apply light second coat and let stand for 2 minutes. 6) Buff surface before using. For hardened food deposits apply a liberal amount directly on food build-up and allow to sit and soften for 2 minutes or until soft, then wipe clean.

Besides cleaning and conditioning stovetop porcelain etc, I used cooktop rescue on my black grates and burner caps. I use this product in conjunction with another of Barry’s product called “Ghost Buster”. Takes the white residue off immediately, I use a thick grade scouring pad and it works well. Use the ghost buster first, then I use cooktop rescue to condition both the grates and burner caps. The picture are the grates underneath.(before & after) Residue from the high flames create this and on top of grates as well. Manufacturer of my Rangetop could not help me in suggesting any cleaners. I gave up on them. I have used other of Barry’s products and thought I would take one of my burner caps to him to see if he can help me. Next day he told me to come pickup burner cap and suggested these 2 products, I was amazed at the results and came home to do all the burner caps and grates and now looks new as the day it was installed.
