My hose was still in great shape but it looked like the weather took as toll on the ends. I didn't want to buy a whole new hose so these hose cuffs did the trick. I did have to cut my old ones off but once off the new ones screwed in with no problem. These cuffs are not super soft but soft enough to be able to connect them to a pool cleaner.
