I purchased the variety pack ( gallon, pint and quart). It is a plus!Good qualityThe bags are very sturdy and seal great.Great value for the money.I cannot say enough about these vacuum bags! From the way they are packaged to their performance, I will never order another brand of sealer bags again. These bags are extremely sturdy, strong enough to take extreme sealing tasks and even strong enough to boil in. First, about the packaging: I know this may change but mine came in a flat box the actual size of the bags and the reason I love this is because I have the huge black FoodSaver Sportsman sealer that is literally nearly two feet long and a foot deep. I store it on my kitchen rolling cart I use as an island and these bags fit perfectly on the shelf flat under the sealer. I also have a small basic Rival sealer I use for lighter duty items that stays on it's side next to the bigger one. These bags are so easy to just reach down and grab one from the box. Another great thing, these bags are huge, big enough that if I need quart size bags I can just cut one of these in half and seal the open end to create two bags, if I need them deeper rather than wider I just seal the wide end and cut the narrow end open. These bags are super strong! I was planning on buying some lighter bags as well but after seeing how I can cut these I am just going to use these since the price is cheaper than the lighter bags. I waited until I had used them on something really rough on bags and seen how good the vacuum would hold before I reviewed them. Well, the first few days I had them, I sealed thirty pounds of pork spareribs, odd ends and all and they handled the rough, sometimes kind of sharp edges with no problems whereas the other more expensive name brand bags would often split. Furthermore, it has now been several weeks and the seals/vacuum are holding perfectly. We used the first batch last night in the pressure cooker and they were as good as freshly butchered. As for lighter items, I have sealed the following: ground beef, chicken, pork chops, turnips, potatoes, onions, carrots, mixed chopped vegetables, corn on the cob, various fish fillets, and two large mouth bass. All have sealed perfectly with no issues and have held the vacuum. On items with a lot of liquid, such as the ribs with a lot of blood, I seal the very top edge once more to hold in excess fluid and ensure the seals but this hasn't been needed, just my preference to avoid having to clean up the blood. A lot of bags will not allow a good seal through blood but these do. As you can tell, I am very happy with this purchase and am going to purchase again when I need to. I highly recommend these bags to anyone!We were surprised to see these are NOT made in America when they arrived. We had pre-planned a Saturday to do a bunch of cooking and using our Food Saver. So we used them. They work as they should. Weston must have demanded high quality from ccp. In an effort to purchase American I assumed these were still made here. Things made in ccp make us think twice about food safety. Hopefully Amazon will find an American manufacturer for ALL food related products. Material seems a touch thinner than the FoodSaver bags but still durable; unlike the FoodSaver bags these do not have a set for labeling but a Sharpie on any edge works fine. One side is smooth, the other is textured. I find this size is perfect for single meal portions for freezing leftovers but still big enough for 2-3 chicken breasts.Quicker than using the rolled material because you only need to seal one end and probably less waste as, generally speaking, when vacuum packing and freezing large amounts of stuff, uniformity is what I strive for. At the time that I bought these they were actually cheaper than buying the big roll - but the way prices fluctuate wildly on Amazon, as always it’s buyer beware. With that in mind, please note that these bags are not resealable.Bought these for use with a Foodsaver vacuum sealer system.These work great and being able to just fill them and then do the vacu and seal without always sealing the opposite end is very nice and saves sealing the ends for every bag you make, so reduces wear and tear on the machine as well.The 6x10 bags are perfect for smaller batches of pork breakfast sausages for instance, the attached photo shows me able to vacuum and seal two at once with our Foodsaver.Will definitely be buying these again.The title says it. I bought these two months ago, but only opened the box yesterday. I started to seal individual portions - of 14 portions, five bags refused to seal. I was able to McGyver three of them by putting an additional sealing strip across the already pre-sealed bottom, and trying again. But two of them had to be thrown out and tried with a new bag. If I could return them, I would. Buyer beware.
