Was looking at sealers and came across this. Reviews were good as was price. The reviews did not lie, easy to put on, great coverage. Fast dry time. My son bought one of the high dollar brand name sealers when he did his concrete countertops. When we did mine i was not up to spending 180 bucks for sealer, so figured would give this a try. It did not let us down, he was surprised how it went on and was less steps than his. I woukd highly recommend this, great value, great sealer.Product works as advertised. Concrete darkens as if it was wet. My only warning is that the mix product (A and B) does not last long, so only mix what you will use per coat. I had to throw out a good bit as it had harden before second coat (less than two hours). The video shows using the same A/B mixture for all three coats, I don’t know how this is possible.This is the best sealer I have used. It is more involved than the others where you spread a solution so be prepared to go through some high density foam rollers but the end result is great. Read the directions on their website and I recommend doing the first round of a 1 to 2 solution at night at let cure until the morning to really let it soak in. I have spilled everything on these concrete countertops and have even had sanded plaster fall onto the surface (porous surface) and it comes right up. The only thing is it does get very dark. I used 1 sacrete charcoal color for every 2 bags of 50lb mix (second picture is before sealant). A good judgement is to spray your concrete with water which is close in comparison. Overall great sealer highly recommended.A bit of confusion with the directions, and challenging to do the three coats, but it does seem like a good water barrier.This stuff works great. And I had no problem with it. As long as you follow the directions it’s easy. It did change the color just a little darker but I think that’s with any sealer. And once I was done with the second and third coats it seemed rock solid. And once I got my countertops in the water beads right up. Can’t say anything about the longevity of this product because I have only had it a month. I wouldn’t waste my time on anything else that’s out there. I have used some others and they will stain right up and it seems like the water doesn’t bead up on them like it does with this sealer.I applied 2 coats per the manufacture’s directions to a clean piece of concrete that I had cast a week prior with a hard troweled finish. I let the sealer cure for two days, but found that it comes off after a bit of scrubbing with a scotch brite pad. So looking into other sealers and rethinking concrete countersSurecrete products are amazing. We DIY concrete countertops in our kitchen a few years ago. The hardest part we encountered was finding a sealer that lasted and did not alter the color/concrete. We tried a number of sealers on small practice countertop. Nothing comes close to Surecrete sealers. Low odor, easy to apply, long lasting. So far nothing has stained the concrete counter. Oil splatter, tomatoes sauce, water does not penetrate the surface. I have used sanitizer wipes a few times on the counter nothing as altered the concrete seal or color.This product is what we were looking for on our concrete countertops. Matte is difficult to find. It dries quite thin so ensure you prep you concrete as much as possible before starting.
