Awesome stopper. Great quality. Just awesome for your moet Chandon!I am surprised how long this keeps sparkling wine.I love this stopper. I use it constantly for wine and champagne and it works great for both. Definitely a great value!This is easy to use and works perfectly. To seal the open champagne bottle, you actually just place it on the bottle with the sides already down and then when you want to take it off, thats when you pull the sides up (at first I was confused and thought you were supposed to have the sides up, place it on the bottle and then move the sides down to seal it but it's way simpler than that). I was happy to find the gold color option. It keeps my champagne, sparkling rose, and prosecco bubbly and fresh for days.If you enjoy a bit of the bubbly, it’s not uncommon to have a partial bottle of fizz. In the past, I would either have to drink it down or put it in the fridge and throw it out a day or so later. But not any more! I tested my fizz keeper in the following manner. I bought a bargain Cava and gave it a good chill. I popped the cork, poured a glass and immediately affixed the keeper and returned the bottle to the fridge. Three days later, I removed the keeper, with a very satisfying popping sound. I poured another glass and again affixed the keeper and put the bottle back in the fridge. The second glass was indistinguishable from the initial glass. I don’t normally let my bubbly warm up so the last sip was as good as the first! I waited a week to open the bottle again. The keeper was removed, again with an agreeable popping sound. I killed the bottle on this round. I suspect the second glass was probably a tad flatter then if I had two glasses on a fresh bottle, but a minor side effect. These last two glasses were totally enjoyable. As with any carbonated beverage, chilling is crucial! Carbon Dioxide, the fizz component, is much more soluble in cold wine then warmer wine. Always allow your bottle to have 24 hours in your fridge before opening. Use the keeper immediately upon opening and promptly return the bottle to the fridge, if you want to keep the quality. The product is well made. I hope to get a few years of use. The material which contacts the bottle is cleanable soft plastic. The metal parts are of a thick gauge which should resist bending. I thought it a good value.No sharp edges. Easy to remove. Better stopper than most others. Attractive. Muted gold color.Love using this for Prosecco, champagne and my fever tree tonic. I have even laid the bottle down in our beverage fridge and it did not leak.Does exactly what it's supposed to - kept my champagne fresh and is also very chic in appearance!Keeps champagne fizzy for a good 2-3 days allowing me to have a full bottle on the go during lockdown! Can’t believe I haven’t owned such a thing before now, the spoon in the bottle method does not work! Easy to use and really does keep the bubbles in. It works well on all champagne bottles I’ve tried but was less so with a couple of short rimmed Prosecco bottles as it couldn’t compress as well. Won’t be buying those brands again!Popped of a bottle of wine, fell on the wine glass and broke it.Maybe if their were a spring on the armatures or a locking mechanism - shouldn't be beyond the wit of man.I'm using a piece of string.OK I put it up from 2 to 4 stars because although the mechanism slips when clamping on naked glass, it seems to hold fine on a bottle neck covered by paper or plastic. Just remeber not to rip this off when you open the bottle, and it will be quite effective. Still - if a spring loaded version comes out I'll move to that right away.The toast is this gadget and the cost, too, because while you can get similar stoppers cheaper they don't feel quite as sturdy or look half as nice. The 'gold may lack the Midas like magic of the one pictured - all that glisters and all that - but it simply looks the part atop your bubbly. And for three, it's a decent price for a nicer quality product. Read with astonishment another review referencing bottles now able to last three days in lockdown. Doubtless they do but ours are polished off far faster...I bought this after reading a number of reviews of similar products. Happy I bought this, it is weighty and solid and is made without sharp edges (a complaint about some others). It has fit well on all sparkling wine bottles I have used it on so far (prosecco, champagne, asti de moscato, asti spumante). After opening I keep them upright and this has kept the fizz in very well. It is simple to use and so far very effective. Can't fault it- gave one to a friend as a gift after using mine.I’m amazed at how well this seals in the bubbles. Like putting a new cork in. Fully sealed my bottle and it ‘popped’ when I took it off - indicating the seal was very effective at keeping those bubbles in the bottle.
