This is the best little machine. The power of suction is amazing. I had a bigger one of another brand for years and this one beat that. It takes so much air out that the product that its hard as a brick. I LOVE IT!Received the replacement item and it failed to work properly. AGAIN! Sealed without vacuum and then it vacuumed without sealing. I ended up returning the item and purchased a new one at a local discount big box store. No thanks China!This machine works very well. I have made over a hundred seals in the short time I have had it and it hasn't let me down once. It is equipped with a very strong pump which creates plenty of suction to expell all the air from the bag so your food will stay fresh longer. It automatically senses when all the air has been evacuated from the bag and then makes a secure seal. None of the many seals I have made so far have leaked. The controls are very simple. You can choose between a strong or gentle seal depending on your needs. For example, if you are sealing something delicate like potato chips, you choose gentle and none of them get broken. The machine is so powerful that if you seal your chips using the strong suction setting they will literally be pulverized to dust. You can also choose whether you are sealing wet or dry items. I was bagging a bunch of chicken today and used the wet setting and achieved a great seal each time. I believe the sealing strip heats for a bit longer to overcome any moisture so you get a great seal no matter what you're sealing. Another nice feature is that there is a space to hold your roll of bags, as well as a cutter so you can make the perfect size bag each tume. This is incredibly convenient and saves a lot of time and guesswork. No more estimating bag size and having some come out too small and wasting material. I compared many vacuum sealers in this price range, and I'm fairly confident that the Toprime vacuum sealer is the best bang for your buck.The roll of plastic to make other bags is too large for the opening. Won't seal properlyi cant use the vacuum power, can only use the sealing process, needed to learn on how to vac and seal I believe I need a vacuum canister that I saw in the picture but not included in the parts provided by the companyI purchase this unit June 15th and today is August 15th. It doesn't work anymore. We only used it maybe 5 or 6 times during that period. It sucks to have to write this review, but anyone thinking of buying this unit should think twice. The suction (the most important function) just stopped working. I can't return it, so I'm stuck with a piece of equipment I can't use. Sucks to be me right now. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT!!! You will live to regret it.This is an awsome product! I dove straight in without reading the instructions and i was so confused when the suction was not completly drawing all the air out lol.. i finally read instructions and fig. out why... there are locks on the sides you must push in so after15min. of me thinking i knew it all i was able to use this with no issues and i love it! So simple and easy!I bought this to replace my older sealer because some of the plastic parts broke. Doing a lot or research, reading reviews etc I wasn't able to find an exact replacement which is disappointing. I decided to buy this one and give it a try. In one day I sealed over 15 pounds of roast and 8 whole chickens and this sealer had no problems with any of it! Very happy with my purchase and look forward to using it more.I paid $95.43 Cndn tax included for a Food Sealer that doesn't work. The lid does not lock when we press it as instructed in STEP 1. There is NO suction which means the SOUS VIDE does not work!! AMAZON Canada should not sell a product when it does not work as advertised!!How can I be reimbursed?The first time I tried this, I forgot to push the front corners down and I wasn’t getting a seal. It’s easy to use and does a great job.Very disappointed. Poor suction, seals bags without removing enough air. Dont waste your money. Spend a bit more and buy a Foodsaver.
