Had a major freeze in our area and previous backflow valve froze, my fault. Very pleased with this valve as a replacement. Needed few parts to complete the installation for my lawn sprinklers. Sturdy brass construction. More easily repaired if we have future issues. Smaller than item that it replaced making it easier to insulate against freezing tempetatures -- but stiil should be drained with water off in winter. (BTW: Did not get valve through this source. Delivery was delayed and I found identical item at local store at lower cost.)
